Lily Stone holds a special place in my heart because they are from my hometown of Rosenort, Manitoba and it's run by the most lovely lady who can make all of your floral dreams a reality!

Amaranthus Coral Fountain:

Long, trailing tails to add a little drama to your garden in a soft coral/pink shade. Easy to grow with hearty stems, large leaves and velvet blooms.

Variety: Annual

Sunlight: full sun

Height: 36-60”

Direct seed after all threat of the last frost has passed. To sow indoors, start 4-6 weeks before the last frost date and transplant when all threats of frost have passed.

When harvesting choose blooms that have lengthened from your elbow to your wrist, or to your preference. Adding flower preservative in their water will prolong their vase life.

Bachelor Buttons:

Thin stems with a small puff on the end, in pretty wildflower looking colors, frosted with white tips. Easy for a beginning grower as they flourish well on their own. The more you cut them the more they’ll bloom so snip away!!

They do not prefer being transplanted but love the cold of early spring. Direct seed as soon as the soil can be worked.

When harvesting choose stems that are just starting to open. Adding flower preservative in their water will prolong their vase life.

Calendula – Tall Double Cut Mix:

If you are new to cut flowers, try this easy to grow mix of tall blooms!

Seeds per packet: 100

Sunlight: Full sun

Height: 24″

Planting: Direct seed is recommended in full sun! Sow every 2 – 3 weeks for continuous blooms. Flowers will continue to bloom into frost.

Harvest: Harvest when flowers are 1/2 way open.

Forget Me Nots:

A plant with intense blue flowers that prefers cool temperatures however may decline in mid-summer heat.

Variety: Annual

Sunlight: sun/part shade

Height: 18-24″

Direct seed is recommended as soon as the soil can be worked in the spring. If you choose to transplant, sow 7-8 weeks before last frost.

When harvesting choose stems with flowers that are half open. Adding flower preservative in their water will prolong their vase life.

Larkspur – QIS Frosted Skies:

Tall spiky stems with numerous blooms on each stem creating a beautiful display in the garden. They make excellent cut flowers, are great addition to any bouquet and add height to arrangements! Larkspur also dries beautifully as it holds it color! Frosted Skies is a two toned light lavender with white.

Sunlight: Full Sun

Height: 36″

Direct seed is recommended when soil temperatures are below 13° C . Note that larkspur gets quite tall so it is recommended that you net the plant to prevent broken or bent stems.

When harvesting choose stems where about half of the blooms are open at the base of the stock. Adding flower preservative in their water will prolong their vase life.

LARKSPUR IS POISONOUS IF INGESTED!
